Questions

Good to know.

Do I need an account?

No. You can continue as a guest. If you’d rather sign in, the app offers Apple, Google or email.

Is the board on the Try it page the app?

No. It’s a sample Classic made in your browser, so you can try the controls. The four variants, the daily puzzles, the packs, your streaks and your stats are in the app.

How does Killer Sudoku work?

There are no starting digits. Dashed cages group cells, and the small number in each cage is the sum of its cells. A digit can’t repeat inside a cage, and the usual row, column and box rules still apply.

How does Butterfly Sudoku work?

A 12×12 board holds four overlapping 9×9 grids. Each of the four follows the normal rules, so a square in an overlap has to work in more than one grid.

What happens when I place a wrong digit?

It counts as a strike. With the default limit of three, the third strike ends the puzzle. You can change the limit under Mistake Limit in your profile.

When do the daily puzzles change?

At midnight. The Daily tab shows how long is left before the next set.

Does my progress sync?

Yes. Sign in and your progress syncs across your devices.

What’s free?

The daily puzzles and the first pack of each variant. Premium packs add more puzzles, and Restore Purchases brings them back on a new device.
